Cath Kidston Ltd was founded in 1993 when she opened her first shop in London. She began by selling brightly-painted furniture, vintage material and wallpapers which were all inspired by her childhood. Her shop soon became a cult success and gradually over time she began to design her own produts and the distinctive floral patterns came to epitomise the Cath Kidston look.
